These terms govern your use of FixMyDocx, a free website that helps you remove section breaks and blank pages from Word documents. They are short because the service is simple, but they matter — please read them before using the tool.
Acceptance of Terms
By visiting FixMyDocx or using the document-fixing tool on any of its pages, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site. Continued use of the site after the terms change (see below) counts as acceptance of the updated terms.
Service Description
FixMyDocx provides a free, in-browser tool that analyzes .docx files, detects section breaks and other causes of stubborn blank pages, and produces a corrected copy of the file for you to download. All processing happens locally in your browser — your file is never uploaded to a server (see our Privacy Policy for details). The site also publishes free written guides about working with section breaks in Word and Google Docs. The service requires no account and costs nothing.
"As Is" — No Warranty
FixMyDocx is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the tool will correctly repair every document, that its output will suit your needs, or that the site will always be available or error-free. Word documents vary enormously, and you are responsible for reviewing the fixed file before relying on it. Always keep your original document.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FixMyDocx and its operator shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the site or the tool — including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or corrupted documents — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it. This is a free tool offered in good faith; use it at your own risk.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time — for example, when the service gains new features. When we do, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Because the site keeps no record of its visitors, posting the revised terms here is how we notify you of changes.
